jt is now taking it easy and picking a few acoustic shows in his hometown of

After picking up his first guitar at age 5, jt knew that music was a passion. At 10 he was live on stage playing the drums and at age 14 he was playing Honky Tonks all over his home state of Tennessee. In 1997 he met up with a group of talented musicians and started working with Grant Boatright - a long time producer for Willie Nelson and others who now plays with his good friend Neil Young. In 1998 jt played Farm Aid and shared the stage with Willie, Darius Rucker (of Hootie and the Blowfish), Paul Shaffer and many more. "It was a great experience opening for Farm Aid and sharing the stage with such acts as Martina McBride, Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Cougar, Steve Earl, and many, many more great performers" says jt. "It was a chance of a lifetime playing for a sold out show of 40,000 people. It was a lot of fun! I would do it again tomorrow."

jtMankin and Cody McCarver, formerly of Confederate Railroad, are not just "like brothers"... they are brothers - "brothers in Christ".  Either of them will tell you of their Faith and how Jesus inspires them... and after getting together and writing an album for the Lord - everyone began telling them "your Gospel sounds Outlaw" - and with their backgrounds "Rightfully So"... so from jt & Cody was born OUTLAW GOSPEL which is now a registered trademark and LLC.  Watch for great things to come from...

I'm Blessed & Healthy and luckily so is my family.  I know there are many out there struggling with this as well as many other things - so my prayers are going out to all of you.... right now!

As I sit at home waiting on the Movie Theaters and the rest of the World to "Open" - I am bored.  It's not Deer Season yet, or Dove, it's too hot to fish right now... and when it does cool off it seems it's almost dark when I get home from work... yes, I have to work!  So... I am going to have some fun and record some Raw "in the living room" covers and originals "with my cell phone" - nothing fancy - and place them on YouTube just for fun...  Not many people do the "raw cell phone thing" because a "recording studio will make you sound wonderful"...  But use a cell phone and what you get is "all you!"  lol... So don't bash me up too bad - if I mess up... I'm just goint to laugh and roll with it.

The World is too serious right now... so this is all in fun!!!
